Believe

You know how sometimes the best ideas come to you, just as you're drifting off to sleep?  That's what happened to me with today's card.  It struck me just as I was falling asleep, and I sat bolt upright in the bed, and picked up my phone to make a note for myself so I wouldn't lose it.  This card is incredibly simple, but perfect for Christmas!

This very simple and pretty Christmas card, was created with Fun Stampers Journey Holiday Script and Winter Build-A-Scene Stamp Sets.

I began by stamping the deer image onto a piece of Buttercream card stock.  I made sure the ink was completely dry, then stamped the sentiment over the top, and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I dotted a bit of Cranberry Bliss Silk onto the deer's nose.  Once that was dry, I went back in and watercolored on a small amount of Sparkle Silk.  The panel was adhered to a Cranberry Bliss card base.

So simple and easy, and would be very easy to assemble in multiples.  The supplies are listed and linked in the list below for US readers, however, come November 1st, those who live internationally will FINALLY have the chance to get their hands on some of these fun FSJ products.  I highly recommend the Sparkle Silk (As I'm writing this, it is not listed yet, but I've linked you to the search for the silks, for reference.  The full bundle of the silk colors is listed currently.), Liquid Colors, PanPastels and Stamp Cleaner (Contains affiliate links - where I earn a commission from purchases made from my links, at no cost to you. Colorful Trees

I'm more into traditional Christmas colors typically.  However, in the last few years, I've been incorporating a few brighter colors here and there.  Particularly for Christmas cards.

Using a non-traditional color palette, this Christmas card was created with the Fun Stampers Journey Winter Build-A-Scene ATS.

For today's card, I stamped and die cut a bunch of colorful trees, as well as a sentiment banner.  I layered them in a row on a strip of River Stone, and applied the trees onto a background embossed with the Tiny Dots embossing folder, which is a Bloom Benefit  (Due to the changes coming, if you want to earn any of the Bloom Benefits from the current catalogs, I suggest ordering by October 31st.)   .

Winter Build-A-Scene Card | Video

I love cards that allow me to use them for a variety of things.  It makes it easy to be able to pull out a card for a birthday, thinking of you, or holiday, when the card is not defined to a specific occasion.  Even when it's seasonal, you can still use it for a variety of things during that season.

This fun wintery card was created using the Fun Stampers Journey Winter Build-A-Scene ATS, PanPastels, and other supplies. Video instruction walks you through the creation of the card.

Today's card is one of those types of cards.  Despite the wintery scene, it can be sent for far more reasons than just a Christmas card.

I created the background by inking my panel, and then applying PanPastels and Sparkle Silk.  I stamped the elements along a traced curve, before adhering my hillside to the card.  Sparkle Dust applied to the hillside, gave a shimmery frost to the "snow".

I loved the finished card.  That night sky is so pretty!  Who would you send this card to?
