Embossed Vellum Flowers

I love having "thinking of you cards" in my stash.  They work so well for so many different situations, and can be easily adapted to something specific with the addition of an inside sentiment.  In order to keep them as flexible as possible, I try to create a design that is very simple and elegant, and will work in a variety of seasons, and then make several at once so I have them ready as needed.

When I reach for a gray colored card stock, it is often my first instinct to reach for silver embossing powder.  However, gold can be gorgeous when paired with a gray with just the slightest warmth to it.  I love how pairing the gold embossing with the Smoky Slate card stock brings warmth and shine to a fairly neutral color pallet.

One of the first things I thought of when I saw the Seaside Textured Impressions folder, was ruching. Ever since I got the folder, I've been wanting to try it on a white paneled card.  I love the airy  and elegant feel it adds - so much so that I haven't even used it the "right" way yet!

Thanks for stopping by!

PS.  Curious as to what I'm up to in between blog posts? Do you want to see other projects that I DON'T post about here on my blog?  Click on the little Social Media icons over on the right to follow me and see what else I'm doing!
