IIOTR | Thank You Cards

It's here!

It's time!

Inking Idaho on the Road is THIS weekend!  I'm doing some last minute pacing around, and preparations for this fun stamp camp weekend.  My display is set up, my gifts for the people joining me at IIOTR are ready, and my swap cards are all packed up.

Whew.

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to share with you a few of the details and things that I was involved with at IIOTR.  For more details about the event in general - definitely check out Becky's blog.

Today, I'm sharing the thank you cards I made for a few of my friends who are joining me at IIOTR.  As soon as I saw this card on Pinterest, I knew I need to C.A.S.E. this card from Stephanie Pike

Here's my version:

Tasty Treats | After Class

I held a Tasty Treats class last night, and wanted to give you a peek at the projects we completed, as well as some of the setup for class.

We completed three projects using the Cool Treats product suite.

One of the most talked about elements of the evening was the "Social Media booth".  I had set up a location to take photos of the complete products, along with info on how to tag me in the photos, and some suggested #hashtags.

The projects were fun to complete, and we had a blast visiting and crafting.  Are you in the Boise, Idaho area, and want to join us next time?  Send me an email (muchlovesara@gmail.com) and I'll add your name to the notification list for the next class!

Thanks for stopping by!

Much love,

Tasty Birthday Treat

Easy.

Sometimes that is all you have time or energy for.  That's part of why I love the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper.  It's coordinated, and the colors used in the paper are listed on the label, so you are EASILY able to pick the matching card stock shades!

For today's card, I started with a 4" x 6" piece of Tasty Treats DSP and cut the long edge at 5 1/4"  I flipped the paper to reveal the waffle pattern on the backside, and added that on top of the larger piece of patterned paper.  I topped that with a bit of the coordinating Peekaboo Peach card stock with my sentiment - from the Cool Treats Stamp set - stamped in Watermelon Wonder.  Then I added my die cut ice cream pieces that were cut with the Frozen Treats Framelits.  I sponged the edges of the cone with ink to add a bit of depth.

There's nothing plain vanilla about this cone!  I added some chocolate chip goodness by stamping one of the sprinkle stamps from the Cool Treats set in Early Espresso ink, and a bit of "frosty" sparkle to the die cut ice cream swirl.   Mmmmm....Mint Chip Ice Cream - Yummy!
