Picket Fence Studios August Release

Hello!

It's the 14th of the month, which means it's time for a new release from Picket Fence Studios.  I'm excited to share my samples with you.  But, first, here is a quick peek of the entire release.

FULL AUGUST 2020 PICKET FENCE STUDIOS RELEASE:

As always, I have several cards to share with you, today, using these new products.  All of the products used in these cards will be listed at the bottom of this post, for reference.

Card #1 | A World of Octobers Shaker Card

To begin this card, I stamped out the pumpkin image from the A World of Octobers Stamp Set, with Black Hybrid Ink, onto white card stock.  I colored the images with Copic markers, and then fussy cut them out and set them aside.

I then die-cut the Woodsy Forest Die, once from dark brown card stock, and twice from black card stock.  I adhered those together with liquid adhesive, then adhered acetate behind them.  I carefully cut little strips of foam adhesive to hide behind the branches, and completely seal all the edges of the shaker portion of the card.

The final piece of the card front was the background.  I ink blended yellow, orange, and red onto a piece of white card stock.  Once I was happy with the blend, I sprinkled the background with water droplets, then gold and dark brown inks.  Once that was dry, I heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set in copper embossing powder, and carefully adhered two of the pumpkins to the background - paying careful attention to get all the edges adhered by using my fingertip to spread the glue to the edges.  I attached the third pumpkin on the front of the acetate layer.

I turned the acetate layer upside down on my work surface to add the Bourban Maple Splash Sequin Mix. I then carefully removed the backing paper from the foam tape pieces, and laid my background over the top.  Then I attached the card front to a card base.

Card #2 | Creeping  Up Behind You Card

To begin this card, I stamped the Moths Stamp in Black Hybrid Ink, onto light gray card stock.  The stamp was lined up to stamp twice, as it is a repeating pattern that can create a seamless pattern.  Then, I colored in the moths with Prismacolor pencils.

The sentiment - from the So Franken Cute Stamp Set - was stamped and heat embossed in white powder onto black card stock.  I stacked the moth background and sentiment on top of green metallic paper, and teal card stock.  The card front was attached to a white card base, before a few of the Creme de Menthe Sequins were added.

Card #3 | So Franken Cute Card

This third card was started by stamping the Frankenstein image from the So Franken Cute Stamp Set, onto light green paper, using Black Hybrid Ink. I shaded it with Prismacolor pencils.  I then stamped the Wrapped Candy stamp onto purple card stock - again with the Black Hybrid Ink - before stamping and heat embossing the sentiment from the So Franken Cute Stamp set in white.

I added an orange and silver mirror banner  before I matted both the green and purple card stocks with black card stock.  Then I adhered the layers together, and attached the card front to a white card base.

Card #4 | Listen for the Song Card

I was so excited to heat emboss the Leaf Mandala Stamp!  I stamped the image and heat embossed it in copper, on cream colored card stock.  Then, I fussy cut the image.  On a piece of white card stock, I stamped the nest and bird images from the Songbirds Stamp Set, in a kraft ink.   Then I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils, before fussy cutting the image our. .

To create the background, I stamped the pattern from the Classic Houndstooth Stamp Set, in dark brown ink onto a lighter brown card stock.  I then stamped and heat embossed - again in copper - the sentiment from the Songbirds Stamp Set, onto another strip of the lighter brown card stock.  I layered them together with a strip of orange card stock in between. Then I layered the images on top, and trimmed off the over hang, before adhering the card front to a white card base.

Card #5 | What I Have to Put Up With Card

This final card was so simple!  I stamped both the image and sentiment from the Your Friend Dear Stamp Set, onto white card stock, using Black Hybrid Ink.  I then colored the image with Prismacolor pencils.

I matted the image with teal card stock, before attaching it to a white card base.  Like I said - simple, right?

This August release has several fun products.  I have a hard time choosing a favorite, but I love the Leaf Mandala Stamp, and the sentiments in the So Franken Cute Stamp Set are hilarious.  What is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by!
