Sending love

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching.  While I do give Valentines to my grands, and my hubby, I also like using all of the lovely supplies to create additional cards with a "love" theme, that I can use throughout the year when a friend or family member needs a little pick-me-up.

Today's card started with a white card base.  On top of that I layered a Real Red Mat, a strip of black stripe stamped card stock, a piece of gorgeous dots and hearts Designer Series Paper, and a strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  I cut a heart out with the Sweet and Sassy framelets, and gave my Wink of Stella the day off, so I used some little rhinestone gems for bling today.  I added a piece of Basic Black - with my sentiment embossed in white - to complete the card front.

For the inside of the card, I stamped my sentiment, and added another heart cutout.  I added a small banner with a little stamped sentiment to my coordinating envelope.  (You can mail an envelope with the paper attached, but you need to make certain that the edges are glued down so they don't get caught in the sorting machines.   Either use liquid glue all the way to the edge, or by line up your tape runner slightly off the edge of the paper when you apply it.  Then, just rub the excess off off the edge.)

Thanks for stopping by!

Much love,
