Softly Celebrating

I tried something a little different with today's card.  I created a "shadow" for the sentiment.

I really wanted to emboss the sentiment in silver, but I knew it could be lost with the other gray tones on the card.  So, I figured out how I wanted it on my card, and used my stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure I had both stampings lined up similarly.  I stamped the black layer onto the circle piece for my card, and heat embossed the sentiment onto the vellum layer.  Then I placed the vellum layer onto my card, so the embossed sentiment was slightly higher and a bit left of the black sentiment.  This added a shadow to create a bit more depth.

Thanks for stopping by!

PS.  Curious as to what I'm up to in between blog posts? Do you want to see other projects that I DON'T post about here on my blog?  Click on the little Social Media icons over on the right to follow me and see what else I'm doing!
