There's a new Anything Goes challenge up at Through the Craftroom Door.

This week our wonderful sponsor is My Whimsical Little World.

I'm using the image "Littlest Aviator" .  Instead of my typical card, this week I chose to make a little travel themed tag mini album.

All of the project details will be available in an upcoming issue of Through the Craftroom Door Magazine.  Be sure to join in the challenge this week at the challenge blog.

There will be a series of bloghops in November at Through the Craftroom Door.
There's lots of AMAZING prizes - so jump on over and click the follow button so you don't miss out!

Dance in the Rain

I'm sneaking in a make with the other team today for the new challenge at 613 Avenue Create!  This week's optional twist is Shabby Chic.  And I was able to work with one of our amazing sponsors: My Whimsical Little World and the adorable image "Splish, Splash".

Because our twist this week was shabby chic, which tends to softer more muted tones, I chose to color my image in pencils rather than Copics.  I did stray into some of the primary colors with her boot, umbrella, and skirt, but most of the image is softer.

I used my Distress Paint Dauber in Picket Fence on my background paper.  It's not super visible, but I loved the clouds and raindrops on the paper so I used the paint dauber to tone down the color and soften the pattern a bit.    Once the card was put together, I went in with my Glossy Accents and left raindrops on the flowers and papers, as well as coating the puddle so that it had a nice shiny surface.

Supplies:
"Splish, Splash" digistamp from MWLW
Bella Blvd Simply Spring "Dancing in the Rain" paper
eclectic mix of colored pencils
Prima Chalk ink in Tin Can
Tim Holtz Distress Paint in Picket Fence
5" paper doily
Laces from my stash
Silhouette cut #19626 & #83423
Pearl trim from Hobby Lobby
Half pearl stickers by Mark Richards

Courage

I spend a LOT of time coloring yesterday.  All of the images were from My Whimsical Little World.  I thought they went together in a pretty cute little scene!  I've used Harold the Dragon, The Little Prince, and Waiting for Christmas.  All were colored with a combination of Copics and colored pencils.

In terms of the card and embellishing, this was super simple.  I went into my scrap pile, and pulled out some papers that I tore across and layered up like scenery.  I printed my sentiment on the computer and punched the ends with a Stampin' Up punch.

Sherlock Gnomes

I'm sneaking one in on you!  There's a new challenge over at 613 Avenue Create this week, and the optional twist is Let's Celebrate!  I just had to join in with our other team this week and create a project.

We have a brand new sponsor at 613 Avenue Create: My Whimsical Little World!  Paola has some simply adorable digi stamps, so you must go check her out!

For today's card, I was able to use "Sherlock Gnomes".   My fangirl granddaughter is turning 18 this week.  I thought this little guy was perfect to use as a humorous card for her. (Plus, you know, anything SHERLOCK, catches my attention!)

Both my granddaughter and myself are fans of the BBC Sherlock show, so I had to add a nod to that with the inside sentiment's styling.

Products Used:
"Sherlock Gnomes" by MWLW - colored with Copics
Crate Papers "Party Day" Paper pack
Glossy Accents
Sentiments printed on my computer
