Picket Fence Studios September Release

Hello!

It's the 14th of the month, and that means it is time for another new release from Picket Fence Studios!  Thanks to Hurricane Ida hitting the PFS home in Louisiana, shipping times are slightly delayed, but everyone is safe, and items ARE shipping out.  Just, please, be sure to show Nicole, Matt & the rest of the team a little grace, and patience, during this time.

As always, I have multiple cards to share with you today, so lets hop right on into it!

Card #1 | Escape the Ordinary

For today's card, I began by stamping the new Torch Ginger Tropical Flower, in Black Hybrid Ink, onto cold pressed watercolor paper.  I colored in the image, using my Prismacolor pencils.  I then, die cut the image, using the coordinating die.  While I had the stamp set out, I also stamped the sentiment onto black card stock, using Versamark ink, and then heat embossed it in copper.

I created the ink blended background using the Life Changing Blender Brushes, and Distress Oxide Inks in the shades: Crackling Campfire, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Scattered Straw, Evergreen Bough, and Peacock Feathers. Once I had the blend the way I wanted, I scattered some water droplets on the panel, then dabbed off the excess moisture.  Once it was dry, I backed the panel with some of the same black card stock I used for the sentiment.

For the final piece, I dry embossed a white card panel, with the Framed Leaves Stencil, then layered my pieces together on a white card base.  I added the new Iridescent Moonshine Sequins (a new favorite!) to finish off the card.

Card #2 | Escape the Ordinary, Remixed

For the second card, I again used the Torch Ginger Tropical Flower, and the coordinating die.  I stamped the flower and the sentiment, onto black card stock, in Versamark ink, and heat embossed it in gold.  I die cut the image, along with cutting the "escape" from gold foil card stock.

I created the background, using strips of card stock in the colors Ballet Slipper, Honeysuckle, Grapefruit, Parsley, and Aqua Sky.  All of the pieces were layered onto a white card base, and the card was completed with a scattering of gems from the new Moon Shade Gem Mix.

Card #3 | My Sweet

For this card, I stamped the BFF Livi Girl image, onto white card stock, using Black Hybrid Ink.  I colored in the image, using my Prismacolor pencils.  I then, die cut the image, using the coordinating die.  On a strip of vellum, I stamped the sentiment, using Versamark ink, and heat embossed it in a teal color.

For the background strip, I used the new Paper Glaze Lux Ombre Set in Nutcracker Ballet.  I dabbed the colors onto my card stock, using a sponge.  The strip was allowed to dry, then the edges were trimmed.

I layered the pieces onto a white card base, and completed the card with a few Iridescent Moonshine Sequins.

Card #4 | Heart & Hearth

I began this card by stamping the Winter Has Come to Town image onto white card stock, using Black Hybrid Ink.  I chose the house I wanted to use, and colored in the image, using my Prismacolor pencils.  Then, I fussy cut the house out.  Using the Clouds Die, I cut snow drifts to adhere around the base of the house.  While I had this stamp set out, I also stamped the sentiment onto dark green card stock, using Versamark ink, and then heat embossed it in copper.

On a piece of  Wheat card stock, I stamped the Falling Pinecones image, using Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink.

To complete the card, I assembled the pieces onto a white card base.

Card #5 | Capricorn Birthday

For this card, I began by stamping the image from the Capricorn Girl Stamp Setonto white card stock, using Black Hybrid Ink.  I colored in the image, using my Prismacolor pencils.  I then, die cut the image, using the coordinating die.  I also die cut the Happy Birthday Word Topper Die, from gold foil card stock, which I backed with a vellum strip.

On a panel of white card stock, I spread an even layer of Pecan Pie Filling Paper Glitz.  I allowed that to dry, and then die cut the panel to a circle shape.

For the final piece of this card, I dry embossed a panel of Wheat card stock, with the Slim Line Cut Flower Stencil.  Then, layered the pieces together on a white card base, and completed the card with a scattering of gems from the new Moon Shade Gem Mix.

That is the cards from today.  There are some fun new things in today's release.  I think some of the new gems and sequins are going to be favorites that I reach for nearly every time I make cards!

Thanks for stopping by!
