Concord & 9th Feature Friday | Botanical Turnabout

Hello!

Welcome back to the final Feature Friday for December's Concord & 9th guest designers.  It's been so fun playing with all of the new stamps and dies.  For today's post, we focused on the Botanical Bundle which includes the Botanical Turnabout™ Stamp Set, as well as the Botanical Dies

I chose to make a very "Sara" card - which means vellum, and embossing included! In order to line up my Turnabout™ stamps correctly, I pulled out my Turnabout™ Jig. This handy little tool helps you to line up the cardstock into the perfect spot in your stamping platform, and has numbers on the corners as a reminder to what you've done.

I stamped each turn of the Botanical Turnabout™ Stamp in a different color - onto White Card stock - using Sea Glass, Grapefruit, Dove, and Peacock Inks.  Then I stamps a few of the branches stamp from the set, on top of the Turnabout™ stamping, in Versamark Ink. I heat embossed the branches with Gold Embossing Powder. I matted this card front onto a piece of Peacock Card Stock

From the Botanical Dies, I cut the diamond shape from vellum twice, and then once more from the gold paper in the Neutrals Foil Pack.  I also cut the "beautiful" word die from the gold foil.  I stamped and gold heat embossed the "You're a" and "Friend" sentiments onto scraps of the same Peacock Card Stock I used to matte the card front.

I adhered the beautiful in the middle of one of the pieces of vellum using liquid adhesive.  Then I attached the sentiment strips with tiny pieces of foam tape.  Once those were attached, I could then adhere the second vellum diamond behind the first, using the die cut and strips to hide the adhesive.  I adhered the gold frame to the card front, and then added more hidden drops of adhesive to adhere the sentiment panel inside of that.  As a final touch, I added a few Gloss White Nuvo Drops to the sentiment panel.

That's it from me for today.  I hope you have enjoyed seeing these fun new products from Concord & 9th..  If you are hopping along with the guest designers today, your next stop will be Sue.

For reference, here are all the stops in our hop today.
