Today's card was so super fun to color.  Ever since I saw this Christmas Poinsettia Star Stamp, I've been itching to color it. And it paired beautifully with a simple sentiment from the Season of Giving stamp set

I began by stamping the Christmas Poinsettia Star Stamp in Denim Days Ink, onto Denim Days card stock.  I colored that in with Color Burst Pencils, along with a couple Prismacolor pencils to supplement a few shading colors.  I color very lightly, adding multiple layers, before blending with Odorless Paint Thinner and a small brush.  Then I'm able to add more layers of color.   In the flower center, I added a few dots of white gel pen to brighten some highlights.

Color Burst pencils used:
016, 018, 019, 024, 025, 031, 033, 038, 048

Prismacolor pencils used:
PC, 1056, PC 947

Once the image was colored, I stamped (Versamark ink) my sentiment from the Season of Giving stamp set, and heat embossed (Silver) the sentiment.  I trimmed the card front to size, and added it to a white card base with White liner tape

This card was very simple in design, but I love the color combo with the blues and yellow-greens in the flower.

I'm working on getting Christmas cards sent out this weekend.  Have you sent yours yet?

Thanks for stopping by!

Your support helps me keep this blog going, and continue to create - Thank you! Affiliates and disclosures can be found here.) Please note, when possible, I try to offer multiple sources for the items I use. Products with two or more logos - underneath, or on the side, give you options of where to purchase, in case the item has sold out at one shop. To visit the first store, click on the photo of the item. To visit the second (or greater) source, click the logo for the second shop - you will still be taken directly to the product.

**If a particular item I used was out of stock when I was preparing my post, or the item I used was discontinued, I have provided a link to a similar item - that is available - when a substitution would not affect the card design.
