Special Day

Today is kind of a special day here at FP3.  It's the 2 year blogaversary!!!  Two years ago today I posted the very first words to this blog.  Now, over 330 posts later, and over 150 followers (through combined methods), here we are!  Come back next week - I'll have a blog candy to celebrate!

I've found myself intrigued lately, by the cards I've been seeing with the stamped image on kraft colored paper.  I decided I really wanted to give that style a try, and this card was the result.


I used the adorable Whiff of Joy Birthday Girl digi, which I colored with my eclectic mix of colored pencils (Prismacolors, Crayolas, super cheap no-name brands).  I wanted a bit of patterned paper in the mix, so I used a 2" punch to cut a circle in the top layer, and then cut the sentiment (one of my own) out with a 1.5" punch.

    Happy 2nd blogaversary and love, love how you colored him on kraft paper. It's amazing! Love how you did the circles for the sentiment too!

    Oh this is gorgeous! I've been thinking of trying that technique too... Just need to stop being chicken. I keep telling myself that if it all goes wrong, it doesn't matter, I can try again, but so far... still chicken! lol.
