For this week's Challenge at Card Crafter's Circle our theme is:
Winged Things
...show us your creations with wings...
I have a problem with YouTube videos. I get caught up watching them for hours on end. I don't have a TV in my craft room, so I tend to start my playlist and listen to/watch videos while crafting. My latest "kick" is watching Kristina Werner's videos. She has this great simple style, and her videos are fun and informative to watch. So, as you see with today's card, I've been "influenced" a bit by her style!
I've been experimenting with the no-lines technique with some digis (I alter the border color in PSE). I found that, while I like the effect with certain digis, it doesn't work with all of them. So, I thought I'd try a digi with a brown outline - still a visible outline, but with a "softer" feel to it. And I kind of like the effect! Also, I did paper piece the cupcake wrapper.
I recently puchased the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch board. I wasn't sure if I was really going to like it, but I got it with a discount, so I thought I'd try it. It turns out that I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it! It's fun to use my old sheets of 12x12 paper to make envelopes for existing cards, but I am loving being able to create an envelope that totally coordinates with the card. Tip for mailing though - make sure all pieces are glued down WELL - no lifting of the edges! Also, the address should be easy to find/read.
Be sure to go over to Card Crafter's Circle and check out my teamies winged creations!
