Marvelously You Rainbow Heart | Spray Adhesive Foiling Technique

Hello!

Today, I have this fun card full of rainbow goodness to share with you.  I used a different technique to foil the background, using the new Swirly Heart A2 Stencil.

I taped my navy card stock to the back of the stencil, and then put that bundle into my spray box.  I misted the top with spray adhesive, then removed the stencil and tape, and laid a piece of rainbow foil over the top of the adhesive.  I used my brayer to press the foil into the card stock, then removed the foil panel to reveal the foiled heart.

(TIPS: The video below shows one of the many panels I did trying to perfect this technique.  For the best results, use an anti static powder tool on your card stock prior to taping your CLEAN stencil to the card stock.  Keep your adhesive far enough from your card stock that it is a mist landing on it - not a direct spray - otherwise the adhesive may leak under the edges of your stencil.  If you do have over foiling, a soft eraser can remove it, but be careful not to erase any of the stenciled pattern you want left behind, as that will remove the shine from the foil.)

I die cut the Marvelously You Word Topper Die from gold foil card stock, and then added a strip of black card stock over the banner.  I stamped, and gold heat embossed the "You have a beautiful heart" sentiment from the Fancy Daily Sentiments Stamp Set, then die cut it with the coordinating die to layer on the banner.

To finish off the card, I added a scattering of pieces from the Day of Rainbows Sequin Plus Mix.
