Passing Along Challenge Card | Cutest Raccoon Love

Today, I'm teaming up with my friends Jammie Clark of Sweet Sentiment, and Becky Roberts of Inking Idaho, to bring you a different kind of challenge.  Jammie, Becky, and I, all live close to one another, and all love card making - though we each have different strengths.  Jammie is a fabulous Copic Color Artist, and Becky can put a gorgeous card together - likely with one hand tied behind her back and one eye closed. Me, I like to play with different mediums and techniques to create something pretty.

The Challenge

We decided to create a challenge that allowed us to each complete a step in a card.  Jammie selected and colored an image, I created the background, and Becky took both of those pieces, and completed the card.

Inked Background image, created using Distress Oxide Inks, Life Changing Blending Brushes, and masks made from Lawn Fawn Dies.

The Inked Background

I created the background with Distress Oxide Inks, masks created from painters tape and  Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud and Grassy Border dies, and the Life Changing Blender Brushes (all supplies listed and linked at the bottom of the post).  I taped the card stock to my work surface, and then blended in the background from the ground up!  This type of scene building means keeping both portions of the mask when it is cut, so that you can cover the parts you have already inked, and keep from blending your grass into your sky.

Completing the Card
