Stars & Stripes

It's time for another ANYTHING GOES challenge over at 613 Avenue Create!  And our optional twist this week is to use the colors, or layout of several different flags as the basis of your project.                                                                                                  This week, I was working with one of our great sponsors, SLS Lines.  In addition to having some cute digi stamps, SLS Lines also has digital paper packs.  So you can print the papers you want at the size you need, and as many times as you want.  Today, I used the USA Wood papers.

I started with a balsa wood board from Michael's that I painted with white chalk paint.   I printed a piece of the digital paper at the largest size I could on my home printer, and then tore the paper around the edges.  I used my Silhouette to cut another of the digital papers into a tag shape.

I cut the sentiment (from Miss Kate Cuttables) out of cardstock.  After it was adhered, I went over the blue portions with my Wink of Stella in clear, and over the red with some red Stickles.  I attached a bit of RK Jute Twine to the top of the tag, and added some clear gemstones to the edges of the board.

Be sure to stop on by 613 Avenue Create, for more inspiration from my teammates, and to join in on our challenge!
