Just for you

When I very first started making cards (several years ago), some of the very first card images that I saved for inspiration were made with these utterly adorable Gorjuss Girl stamps.  At the time, I could not find anyone who carried that style in the US, and was hesitant to order anything from an international company (let's just say I've gotten over that one ;)  ).  I found numerous digi stamp companies that I loved, and use digis almost exclusively - hence the "Printed Pixels" portion of my blog name - but, I've always had it in the back of my mind that I wanted one of those cute Gorjuss Girls someday.

While doing some recent shopping on Amazon, I stumbled across a seller who had Gorjuss Girl stamps!  I immediately bought.....a few....and have since found numerous other sellers who carry these stamps.    So now I have some (and a wishlist for more) and they are just as adorable as I remembered.

Both the adorable little girl and the heart tag came from the "You Brought Me Love" set.  I colored her up with my alcohol markers, and paper pieced her dress.  I tried something different with the background this time.  I'm not so sure about it - one minute I like it, and the next I think it's a bit weird.

I used my treasured  My Mind's Eye "In Bloom" paper pack for this card (I cannot find ANYONE selling this anymore - boooooo!)  The ribbon and lace are both Offray, and the flowers are from IAmRoses.  The larger pearls in the upper right corner are some I bought in bulk from ebay.

  1. I think it's... well... Gorjuss! Love the colours and romantic feel. I'm a huge fan of the Gorjuss girls too, and have almost the entire range they released in March last year... Except the stamps! I didn't start stamping until this summer, so I guess I shall have to keep my eyes open for some of those too! x
