2014 Crafty Goals

Do you set goals for crafting?

Last year I set a goal of creating a custom digistamp for each of my grands birthday cards.  As of my granddaughter's birthday in November, I had actually managed to complete that goal!

I has also set a goal to focus more on tools when I shopped rather than paper and pretty embellishments.  In December, I had to buy FOUR storage units to contain the stuff (i.e. paper and pretty embellishments) I had accumulated.  FAIL right there!

I've spent the last few days cleaning and reorganizing my craft room.  So, I can tell you one of my goals this year will again be to focus more on tools than paper and pretty things.  (I'm kind of drowning in paper here!)  I would like to get more dies, work on my Copic collection, and get a few more sentiment stamps.

Another goal this year will be to create a decorated box, or some sort of craft each [calender] month for my grands.  I tend to do some sort of goodie for them for most holidays, so I'm thinking this won't be to difficult of a goal (while still making their day!).

I would also like to work on a few more YouTube videos, some more altered art stuff, and the really fun one - have a few more giveaways!

The big goal will always remain the same though - to have fun, enjoy what I'm doing, and make things that I'm proud to give to my friends and family.

What are your crafty goals for the year?

Happy 2014 everyone!

  1. Hi Sara, I love this idea and I hope you don't mind I'm going to case it. (can you case an idea? lol). I set the patterned paper goal last year and did pretty well. I think I bought only a few sheets and mostly card stock. But still drowning in DP. I think I could scrapbook until I was about 80 and never buy another sheet. uggh! But who would want to do that-no fun :-( Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for being the newest follower of all things beautiful and to let you know I sent you a "Shout Out" on my blog, linking it in the post. http://alllthingsbeautiful.blogspot.com/2014/01/feature-friday-132014.html Happy New Year and good luck with your 2014 goals!
