You would think that, for a ribbon and lace challenge, I would have a super girlie, over-the-top, shabby card....now wouldn't you?

Welp, it didn't happen.

I've been feeling a bit in a creative rut lately, and as I was clicking around in the FLD store, looking for something to spark some inspiration, I clicked on their digital die-cuts section.   When I saw the snowflake image, this card immediately popped into my head.

Because I chose to put the two laces, and lightly colored ribbon over a white panel, the lace element became much more about being a textural element than feminine.

I cut the snowflake out of mirrored paper, on my silhouette, and backed it with dark teal cardstock.  I added gems to the larger "bubble" portions of the snowflake, and stamped my sentiment with an alpha set I got from the dollar bin at WalMart.  The mirrored paper is also used as a backing for the DP.

The inside was really simple.  The upper portion of the open card remained blank, and I added panels of cardstock, mirrored paper, and DP to the lower portion - with a few sparkly gems, of course!

Be sure to pop over to the challenge blog, and see my teamies gorgeous creations!
