Teddybear + Fun News!

I have NEWS!  Earlier this week, I was accepted/invited to join the design team over at Card Crafter's Circle.  You may have seen the little badge pop up (somewhere over)
there ------------>

I'm really excited to join the lovely ladies over at CCC.  I hope you'll join along in the weekly challenges, if you haven't already!

This week at Card Crafter's Circle we invite you to create cards on the theme of:

TEDDYBEARS!

Our sponsor is STAMP ART DESIGN BY KATHRYNE! These images are sure to delight you! Kathryne creates images covering so many themes, and they are so very cute too! You can find SADK designs here in the Whimsy Shop...

Our random prize winner will receive a selection of 4 images, of their choice ... yummy!

Now teddy bears just happen to be my thing!  I've collected bears (first teddies, then figurines) for YEARS! So a teddy challenge is right up my alley!  (And how serendipitous that it be the theme of my first challenge?!)

I chose the super cute "Butterfly Friend" for this card.   I layered her up with these springy papers (look at that ladybug!)  The sentiment was one I created and printed from my computer.  I added a couple of paper punched butterflies, and punched out a bunch of flowers.  After a quick press with an embossing tool, to curl the petals, I stitched teeny tiny buttons on as the centers.

And, of course, I had to add some sparkles to the butterflies.  Because all butterflies have sparkles....right?

The inside has a duplicate of the stamp on the front (minus the sparkles).

Be sure to go over to the challenge blog and see the rest of the design teams' BEARY cute creations!
