I have to tell you a secret.
I play favorites.
I have a few cards that I've made that I like SO MUCH - that I won't send them out.
I keep them for myself....
Shhhhh.......
I think this is destined to be one of those cards that I keep. And I really wasn't sure about it when I started coloring the stamp...I mean, c'mon...GREEN "skin"? But when it was finished it worked so well!
I tried a technique that Alyce over at Kit and Clowder has been doing lately. I sprinkled both white and clear embossing powder on the panel randomly, and heated it from underneath. I liked the effect it gave, particularly for a "watery" background.
The shell is from a pack I got at the dollar store. I want to say that it is some kind of acrylic resin, but it's pretty lightweight. I contemplated several ways to make some seagrass, but I'm really happy with what I finally chose - floral tape! I trimmed it to shape and twisted it and it looks great there! The seahorse charm is tied on, but not directly adhered in any way, so (if I ever give this card away) it can be reused. The "bubbles" were created with a pearl pen and Glossy Accents.
I kept the inside pretty simple, considering there was so much happening on the outside. The duplicate image was flat colored with colored pencils.
For now this card is hidden away - and I'm not telling where!
