I'm still creating...

I apologize for my lack of posts lately.  I've been busily creating things for the fundraising efforts for Matthew and his family.   (BIG thanks to all of you who purchased a Guardian Angel!!)  I've poked myself making support ribbons to sell, made myself cross-eyed staring at the computer screen while creating images and templates for various things, and become bff's with the employees at the local post office.  Matthew starts his radiation treatment tomorrow.

While we're still concerned and in full support of him, the initial shock and tears have worn off a bit, and regular life is slowly creeping back in.  Including a few craft projects here and there.

I attempted to paint a cute little sign for my kitchen.  It wasn't a great attempt, but I liked the way the strawberries turned out (the would have been better, but when I was sanding the surface the white polka dots from the background came through).

With the weather having been really indecisive this spring, my flowers haven't done so well this year.  So, I made some that will be pretty ALL the time. (tutorial found here)  Plus, there are rumors that I MAY be getting a craft room/office space again, so it's my first decor piece for the space (I hope it happens!).

So, that's what I've been up to!  Thanks for sticking with me during this tough time!!

  1. Crafting can be healing for us when we are sick at heart, so you are on the right path, Sara....and you came up with some beautiful creations....especially love the flowers, and fingers crossed for that craft room!
Matthew, as always, is in our family prayers....take care of you, too.
