Art Journaling "Doll" Pages

I think I need to ban myself from YouTube.

I got sucked into a vortex again the other night.  At least this time I know how I wound up there!  I started out looking up some alteration videos, which led me to mixed media videos, which led me to art journaling videos, and BAM - I found myself on this channel (seriously, if you are ever bored, go watch some of her "doll dreams" videos - wow, just WOW!)

I had "started" an art journal last September.  (And by started, I mean I did one colored pencil sketch and then promptly left the sketchbook on a shelf and hadn't looked at it since - go me!)  As much as I admired the pages I'd seen by various people....I just couldn't get in that "mode".  After seeing the doll pages, though, I felt the itch to draw, and decided to give it another shot.

Copics, colored pencils, acrylic paint (stamp in StazOn and frame drawn in with black ink)

Watercolors, acrylics, colored pencils, distress inks, glitter glue

Acrylics and colored pencils

They aren't much, but considering that they are only my second-fourth A.J. (mixed media art - whatever you want to call it) pages, I'm reasonably happy with them!  Although, my lettering sure needs some practice!

  2. I love your journal! You certainly have a gift, and it's all yours--you don't have to apologize to anyone because those pictures come from your heart.
