Unique Christmas card

If you haven't figured it out yet, I like things with a unique twist - to take something and make it just a little different somehow....and, while this occasionally ends in disaster, it sometimes leads to really fun creations like this card.

As soon as I saw this week's Merry Monday sketch, I knew what I was going to do.  Maybe it's a result of looking at to many mini album tutorials...maybe it was purely by accident...or maybe it's just my genius unleashed (yeah, right), but I looked at that sketch and saw this card.

And here's what makes this card unique.  Rather than being a folded card that you open to see the sender's message - the "top" of the card is a tag (that the receiver can reuse as a gift tag!) that pulls out of the pocket with the sender's message written behind.

Materials Used:
  • Black, heritage red, white card stock
  • Dotted Paper by the Paper Studio
  • Swirl paper by Echo Park
  • Celebrate It Basic Narrows ribbon
  • Spare Parts by the Paper Studio brads
  • Mouse digi by Sylvia Zet (colored with markers and pencils)
  • Random Adhesives (adhesive runner and red line tape)
