On my "desk"

I got lost in YouTube hell the other night.

I'm still not sure what happened.  I clicked on one tutorial which led to another, which reminded me to look up a channel I had heard about, and the next thing I knew it was 4 am and I had been watching random videos for nearly 6 hours!  (Thankfully, I wound up in a GOOD part of YouTube...I've gotten turned around there before, and felt the need to scrub my eyeballs with Comet.)

The majority of that time was watching videos about a certain TYPE of project.  Now, I have to admit...it's been nearly 5 years since I've done any type of paper scrap booking.  The scrapping I've done in the last few years has been all digital...but I stumbled into a vortex filled with mini albums - and the thought, despite the fact I don't scrapbook, intrigued me.

I knew, as I watched my ever increasing "Watch Later" list, that I was going to have to attempt this.  Because it is a trial project, I really wanted to try to just use items from my stash.  But I still wanted that great chunky look to the album...so I made my page bases out of kraft cardstock.

Each page base is different in some way.  The pages, as shown, measure 5.5" x 4.25", but there are all sorts of flaps and pockets - and there could be a lot more, but, again, this is a trial run. When I get this finished, I will show you what the album looks like finished (and how I made the pages).  I think this will be a fun project!   If I can only get off YouTube to work on it....
