Nutty

Last week, I posted about how to add shading to stamped images, and showcased this little squirrel in the video.  He was shaded with only one color of pencil, and I wanted to use him on a project.

A little treat bag, full of mixed nuts, seemed to be the cutest way to showcase him.  I layered up a panel of Pumpkin Bread Card Stock - stamped with the Flannel Life Background stamp - and embossed Oatmeal Cookie card stock.  Both were cut with fishtail banner ends.  I folded them over the top of my filled bag, and stapled them in place.  

The squirrel was attached with a few foam squares, and a couple of Fashion Gold pieces were added.  This little bag was super easy to create, and is super cute!  A fun treat for those in your life who aren't into sweets (those are CRAZY people - so nuts may be totally appropriate!).

Autumn Greetings

It's definitely reached the point, here in Idaho, where the defroster/heater is on in the morning, and the a/c in the afternoon.  Sitting outside with my coffee each morning is starting to get a little chilly - and I LOVE it.  It's nice to watch the leaves turn, and start to fall - especially when it's hubby's job to clean them up (I swear I didn't snicker just now....promise!).

Today's card combines embossing folders to create a textured, but clean background.  A few autumn toned leaves, peeking out from behind the sentiment panel, are a fun way to bring some color to the layout.
